Everything Electric brings Business Electrification Forum to Sydney

Everything Electric Sydney, Australia’s largest electric vehicle (EV) and clean energy show, is coming to Sydney Olympic Park over three days from September 18.

The event will bring together 100 businesses and over 35,000 visitors, showcasing options for everything from solar setups to EV fleets and charging options, and potential business energy savings. The event is free to attend, and registrants can attend the sessions that apply to them, then feel free to wander the show floor.

The show’s opening on Friday includes the dedicated B2B Professionals Day, where the Business Electrification Forum will see business owners, hospitality operators, property managers, fleet decision-makers, councils and commercial leaders meet.

The Forum will combine expert guidance, real-world case studies and practical tools across business energy, EV charging and fleet electrification. Hospitality and accommodation providers can hear directly from industry experts, who will share practical advice on business electrification, EV charging and fleet transition, with time to ask organisation- and industry-relevant questions.

Visitors can also compare technologies, costs, finance pathways and implementation approaches, as well as gain practical resources, useful industry contacts and clear next steps to begin or progress their electrification journey.

EV sales in Australia outsold both petrol and diesel cars, making EVs the single best-selling fuel type in the country for the month. With more EVs on the road than ever, a key aim of the event is to help more accommodation operators understand the benefits of offering EV charging, and how it can attract guests to book directly.

The event is co-delivered by three companies, including Sustainable Housing, whose founder Felicity Stevens helps hospitality and short-term rental operators reduce emissions, attract sustainable travellers and take practical, cost effective steps towards sustainability. Felicity brings real-world experience and a deep understanding of guest expectations and tourism trends.

“We know many small to medium businesses don’t know where to start when it comes to understanding solar, batteries and EV charging for their business, and for many operators, the cost to install simply didn’t make sense in the past,” Ms Stevens said. “The NSW Government has just released new grants for businesses to install solar and batteries, making this a much more viable option. We’re aiming to help as many businesses as possible learn more about these grants, and the common issues that may be holding them back, by running these sessions.”

Members from the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) will be attending the event to share more about rebates. Everything Energy also brings together installers, product specialists and finance experts to help answer the questions operators want to ask, but haven’t had anyone to ask before.

Other hosts ROEV, founded by Robert Dietz, are experts in commercial fleet electrification; and ivygo, co-founded by Julie Perrissel, working at the intersection of EV infrastructure, tourism and hospitality to help businesses respond to the growing demand for convenient EV charging.

Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities relevant to their organisation, the options available and the practical next steps to reduce costs, support EV customers and prepare for the future of transport and energy.
