Choice Hotels Asia-Pac will endorse the ARMA Vocational Education and Training (VET) Short Course Qualification in Revenue Management

The Australian Revenue Management Association (ARMA) is delighted to collaborate with Choice Hotels Asia-Pac, one of the largest pure-play hotel franchisors in the Asia-Pacific region, in a landmark move that aims to raise professional standards across the hospitality industry.

Choice Hotels Asia-Pac will endorse the ARMA Vocational Education and Training (VET) Short Course Qualification in Revenue Management as a required standard for its franchisees to achieve revenue management compliance.

Advancing Education and Excellence

This work underscores the shared commitment of ARMA and Choice Hotels Asia-Pac to promote education, upskilling, and industry best practices. The VET qualification, accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), equips hospitality professionals with the skills and knowledge required to navigate the complexities of revenue management in a competitive market.

“Revenue management is critical to the success of any accommodation operation,” said Kari Hunter, Senior Director Commercial and Revenue Management of Choice Hotels Asia-Pac. “By working with ARMA, we are ensuring our franchisees have access to training that enhances their ability to help optimise revenue and improve profitability, providing them with a recognised short-course qualification.”

Melissa Kalan, Executive Chair of ARMA said, “Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s work with the ARMA VET qualification is a game-changer for the hospitality sector. This collaboration highlights the strategic value of nationally recognised and accredited training as a key pillar of professional development in revenue management .”

Revenue Management Compliance

The use of ARMA’s VET short course qualification sets a new benchmark for the industry. Choice Hotels Asia-Pac franchisees will be offered the ARMA course as part of their revenue management brand standard, ensuring consistency and excellence across the network. This initiative reflects Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s dedication to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth and supporting vocational education and training.
