Springbrook Manor to be sold

The 10ha site on Springbrook Plateau that is occupied by Tudor-style hotel Springbrook Manor, and has stood vacant for nearly two years, may be revitalised by a multimillion-dollar makeover.

The Palaszczuk government’s national parks minister Steven Miles has agreed to sell the Crown land to one of two tender applicants that would be obligated to revitalise the manor and run it as a boutique hotel.

Mudgeeraba MP Ros Bates has been trying to have the manor developed since 2012 and said Springbrook Manor “had struggled as a government asset which was tied up by red tape and has been unable to make any profit after Labor’s buy-up in 2007.”
