Another Hotel Goes in Wollongong
Rydges Hotel in Wollongong will be converted into a 90-bed private psychiatric hospital under plans announced this week.
A development application will be lodged with Wollongong City Council next month, according to Evolution Health Care and the Australian Property Trust.
The new hospital will create 80 jobs once it opens in February 2012. It follows plans by the University of Wollongong to purchase Wollongong’s Hotel Ibis for student accommodation.
