Pullman Reef gets new GM… Replaces Perth-Bound RGM

Accor Hotels has announced the appointment of Wayne Reynolds as general manager of Pullman Reef Hotel Casino, Cairns.

Wayne takes over from Adrian Williams who after three years in the position has moved to Perth to commence his new appointment as regional general manager, Accor Western Australia.

Wayne has managed a number of properties in Queensland, New South Wales, and Fiji. After completing his Associate Diploma in Hospitality Management in Townsville in 1990, Wayne commenced a career in food and beverage working at a number of hospitality establishments in Queensland and the Northern Territory.

In July 2002 Wayne joined the Accor group as food and beverage manager of the Novotel Brighton Beach, Sydney. Wayne was appointed executive assistant manager of Novotel Northbeach, Wollongong in 2004. After a promotion to general manager of Grand Mercure, The Vintage, Hunter Valley, Wayne continued his career with Accor and soaked up the Fijian sand and sunshine as executive assistant manager at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa from November 2006.

Returning to Australia in 2008 Wayne joined the Mantra group and was at the helm of the Aanuka Beach Resort in Coffs Harbour where after managing the property’s refurbishment he was promoted to area manager of eight properties in Broadbeach in his home state of Queensland while simultaneously managing Mantra Sierra Grand on the Gold Coast. Moving to the tropical far north in March this year, Wayne was general manager of Peppers Beach Club and Spa, Palm Cove and area manager for Mantra Cairns and Palm Cove.
