Jupiters Names New Top Chef

The Gold Coast’s Jupiters Hotel and Casino has appointed a new executive chef to steer the expansion of its food operations as part of a $350 million redevelopment of the property.

Uday Huja, who was most recently executive chef at The Signature restaurant at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, has been named in the role. His CV has also included catering for top VIP guests, at award-winning restaurant, The Inn At Little Washington, and at President Barack Obama’s first-ever White House State Dinner in 2009.

In his new position at Jupiters, Huja will head a team of 185 chefs and oversee kitchen operations that include seven restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining, banquets, pastry and one of the largest production kitchens in the southern hemisphere.
