Cairns high rise hotel on the market

The freehold of the 11-storey Acacia Court Hotel in Cairns is up for sale.

Marketing agent Billy Gartner from Professionals Real Estate Edge Hill said the owners John and Michael Deeb were “testing the waters” and were aiming at $20 million for the hotel as well as a couple of blocks of land next to the property.
He said the Deebs were considering other business ventures.
Acacia Court is on a 4450m² site fronting both the Esplanade and Lake St and features 148 air conditioned guest rooms with most having private balconies.
Charlie’s restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor dining options for 250 people and showing a net profit of more than $1000 a day, was included in the sale.
The hotel has a full-sized tennis court, a large swimming pool and spa, a spacious hotel lobby and a tour desk. There is a cocktail bar, a guest laundry, a sauna/steam room, wifi internet, foreign exchange services, parking, disabled access, wheelchair access, a dry-cleaning service and non-smoking rooms.
