Gong’s Blogging Success

Tourism Wollongong has brought back its 2010 We love the Gong campaign to encourage local residents and international travellers to share their experiences of the area on Facebook and other social media.

Since launching in early April, the campaign has attracted fans as far afield as the Antarctic Circle, Russia, Tanzania and the Congo who have shared photos and experiences. The original campaign used social media to engage local residents and their visiting friends and relatives and encourage them to explore more of the region.

Tourism Wollongong general manager Greg Binskin said the organisation had been overwhelmed by the high number of photo submissions and positive comments from Wollongong’s fans.
