Mt Buller to ski earlier this year
Mt Buller, just a few hours drive north east from Melbourne, will also open early for skiing – before the traditional and official Queen’s Birthday opening weekend of 14 June.
Heavy snow falls, icy conditions and a plentiful coverage on the ski runs, has led to the opening bonanza, and there’s still a chance to take advantage of pre-opening bargains that are available.
If a reservation is made before June 10, 2012 at the Grand Mercure Pinnacle Valley Apartments, at the base of Mt Buller, guests will also qualify for 30% off all pre-booked ski hire at the Resort’s Ski Hire boutique.
And bookings or the actual stay, can be made for any time in this ski season – up to the 15 September 2012.
Ski season accommodation is now open and available, but you will need to hurry, with studio type self contained room, from $160 per room per night, (2 adults) or from $210 for a one bedroom self contained apartment (sleeps 2 adults and 2 children), the self contained chalets from $254 which can sleep up to 6 guests (4 adults and 2 children).
Grand Mercure Pinnacle Valley is at the foot of the mountain, with transfers to and from the ski slopes available, located within short distance to award winning wineries and brewery, tourist attractions and local food-bowl producers. There’s a massage service on site to ease weary limbs after hours en piste.
