Executive reshuffle as Accor begins new phase

Accor has announced several changes to its executive management as it prepares for the biggest change in its Pacific network since launching in Australia more than 20 years ago.

Garth Simmons, former regional general manager NSW and ACT is moving to New Zealand for a new posting as vice president, New Zealand and Fiji, replacing former VP Paul Richardson who is on the move to Shanghai to take on the role of chief operating officer for China.
Stepping into Garth’s shoes is Scott Boyes, formerly regional general manager for Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. His previous role will be filled by Adrian Williams who delivered above-market performance as regional general manager for Western Australia and the Northern Territory over the past two years.
Completing the restructure, a new general manager has been appointed to Adrian’s former role, with Matthew Young, previously at IHG Hotels, taking the helm in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
Simon McGrath, Accor’s Chief Operating Officer – Pacific, said the new changes ensure the best person is assigned to each role as the company moves forward with its much larger portfolio following the acquisition of the Mirvac hotel group
