Medina undergoes refurb in Melbourne

A recent refurbishment of Medina Executive South Yarra, including a new colour palette, sophisticated soft furnishings and vibrant artwork, is now complete.

The update to the apartment hotel’s new interiors marry its aesthetic and space with its vogue South Yarra location.
Guests are given a vivacious first impression of the apartment hotel, created by bold London style front doors in a striking fuchsia pink. The Lobby Lounge, dubbed the ‘Drawing Room’, has been transformed into an inviting area to relax before check-in or after a day exploring the city. It features dark timber bookcases, a fire place, luxurious velvet upholsteries, antique style smoker’s chairs and ambient candles. The room has been dressed with splashes of colour: Sonia Rykiel fabrics adorn ottomans and cushions, olive green walls, ethnic rugs and contemporary pop artworks. Artefacts collected from the area, vintage books and driftwood sculptures adorning the bookcases add a local touch.
Sophistication and design have not given way to function. The hotel also features: new carpets in each apartment, lounge room blackout curtains, new furniture, new look kitchens featuring black splashbacks and new paint work throughout. Guests will also be delighted by the revamped pool area opening to an intimate courtyard.
Andrew Parr and the renowned interior design team at SJB, are behind the new cosmopolitan flair of Medina Executive South Yarra. Also responsible for numerous interiors across Toga Hotels’ portfolio, the concept behind his designs and the new features of Medina Executive South Yarra was to make guests feel like they have been welcomed into a well-travelled friend’s home.
