New awards recognises design in hospitality

Presented by Architecture Media, the Eat-Drink-Design Awards is calling for entries for 2012.

The inaugural program recognises and celebrates Australia and New Zealand’s best hospitality projects. It is the only awards program in Australasia that is dedicated to hospitality design.
Entry submissions for the Eat-Drink-Design Awards will close on 27 July. The results will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will take place in Melbourne on 23 October.
Entry is open to all Australasian-based and international design professionals for hospitality projects in Australia or New Zealand. The projects must be completed between 1 May 2010 and 30 June 2012. The entries will present a wide range of hospitality environments including bars, nightclubs, fine dining, restaurants, cafes, retail spaces and pop-up installations. Excellence is rewarded in six categories:
• Best Bar Design
• Best Restaurant Design

• Best Temporary Design
• Best Retail Design
• Best Visual Identity Design
The jurors for 2012 have been appointed on the basis of their practical expertise, professional standing and high profile. This year the jurors are:
