PR Appointment at Shangri-La
Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney has announced the appointment of Jessica Somers to the role of director of communications. Key responsibilities of the role include driving the communications activity for the hotel, including public relations and marketing campaigns.
Jessica joins Shangri-La Hotel with six years of experience in public relations and media relations across a range of top-tier brands in the travel and leisure industry, including British Airways.
Prior to joining the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney team, Jessica worked as a senior manager in the consumer marketing team at Fleishman-Hillard International Communications, a global public relations agency.
British Airways was a key client of Jessica’s during her last three years at Fleishman-Hillard, which served as a great introduction to the travel and hospitality industry in Australia.
