Regional reshuffle underway at Accor
A reshuffle of regional GMs is underway at Accor Hotels. Former GM of Novotel Sydney Olympic Park, Garth Simmons, will now be responsible for day-to-day operations in New Zealand and Fiji.
Garth joined Accor in 2007 following a decade with Rydges Hotels.
Scott Boyes has been appointed to the role of regional general manager – NSW/ACT, in place of Garth. In his new role, Scott will be based at Novotel and Ibis, Sydney Olympic Park.
Changes are also underway for Western Australia, with current regional general manager of WA, Adrian Williams, being replaced by Matthew Young. Matthew joins Accor following an eleven year career with Intercontinental Hotels Group, where he oversaw high profile properties in Adelaide, Canberra and Perth.
Adrian will be relocated to Melbourne following his appointment to the role of regional general manager – Victoria, Tasmania & South Australia. Adrian will be based at Ibis Melbourne.
