IHG Announces NT Marketing Director
InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed a new director of marketing for Northern Territory, Cathie McBean.
Effective immediately, Cathie will oversee the marketing operations of five hotels within the state including Crowne Plaza Alice Springs, Crowne Plaza Darwin, Holiday Inn Darwin, Holiday Inn Esplanade Darwin and Holiday Inn Gagudju.
Cathie will report directly to Andrew Bayliss, IHG regional general manager, Northern Territory. She replaces Iain Ganner who has transferred to Thailand as IHG area director of sales and marketing.
Cathie was most recently director of leisure tourism at Brisbane Marketing, a position she held for over three years. Prior to her Brisbane Marketing role, she was the general sales, group sales and national sales manager of Dreamworld, on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Cathie was also previously director of sales with Accor, working across the Novotel, Ibis and Grand Mercure Darling Harbour, Sydney properties.
