Twin Towers in Chinatown Sales Success
Sydney’s Chinatown will soon boast a sparkling residential and retail complex with two sleek towers each with private foyer befitting a six-star hotel. In the first two weeks of sales 85% of the 270 apartments sold out. The marketing suite, which included a full apartment replica, styled by CHADA, was a record breaking success and developers Ausbao P/L are de-lighted by the astonishing suc-cess of the project. CHADA collaborated with Smart Design Studio to set a new standard in luxury apartment living. CHADA was also commissioned to design the public areas of The Quay includ-ing two impressive foyers with internally lit panels, bold colours, glamorous and over sized feature lights and reflective surfaces.
“From the moment residents enter The Quay they will appre-ciate the extra lengths to which the designers have gone to,” Ausbao comments.
CHADA is enjoying an in-creasing number of large resi-dential commissions, from pri-vate waterside mansions to commercial apartment develop-ments.
“We have a different ap-proach to traditional designers which springs from our experi-ence of designing major projects around the world. This expansive view of design and a deep understanding of contemporary luxury seems to be working well in a residential setting. After all there is a close relationship be-tween hotel design and luxury residential design these days,” says CHADA, co-owner Juliet Ashworth.
