Tiger Brisbane Route Takes Off

Tiger Airways is gearing up for new services between Sydney and Brisbane that commence today (1 August) with special fares on the new route from just $39.95 one way.

Coinciding with the first day of new flights between Sydney and Brisbane, Tiger Airways Australia will base a second aircraft at Sydney Airport from 1 August to facilitate further growth of services around Australia. At the same time, around 100 jobs are currently being recruited for by Tiger Airways Australia in both Sydney (30 jobs) and Melbourne (70 jobs) as the airline continues to add services on new and existing routes. Jobs being recruited for include pilots, cabin crew, cabin crew managers, engineering staff and ground services staff.
Tiger Airways head of marketing and communications, Vanessa Regan, says, “Tiger Airways Australia currently flies up to 44 daily services and is ramping up to fly up to 64 daily services by October 2012. To facilitate planned future growth and sustain our focus on operational excellence, Tiger is now actively looking for new staff in both capital cities.”
Tiger Airways currently has eight popular routes on sale across Australia and the airline is keen to add new services to its network in the future which will be announced in due course.
