Holiday Park raises the bar in service

Despite being voted as the No 1 holiday park for families in the Northern Territory, Darwin FreeSpirit Resort also places special emphasis on the facilities they can offer the corporate sector.

FreeSpirit chief operations officer Yvonne Bristow says, hospitality providers in Darwin and surrounding areas must acknowledge the impact of the corporate boom and take action. “The Northern Territory, particularly Darwin, is fast becoming one of Australia’s strongest assets in terms of these industry sectors,” Ms Bristow says.

“It has not only become the trading gateway to Asia but is also becoming the destination of choice for industry events due to the success of the mining, oil and gas industries. Subsequently, more people are seeking out local accommodation that not only showcases what Darwin has to offer, but is also affordable long-term.”

Ms Bristow says not many holiday parks target demographics outside of the families and grey nomad travellers, but FreeSpirit saw a gap in the sector and provided a solution. “Workers benefit from our reasonably priced accommodation and meals and the essential facilities for corporate functions, all amidst a unique and relaxed location,” Ms Bristow says.

Darwin FreeSpirit Resort’s commitment to providing for families was recently acknowledged when it was ranked top family destination in the Territory by the Holidays with Kids Top 10 Holiday Parks awards.
