It’s a white Christmas!
If Thursday’s images are anything to go by, Quay West Resort & Spa Falls Creek could be enjoying a White Christmas this year, as the resort received approximately 6cm of snow overnight on the 5 December.
The lowest temperature recorded at the resort was minus 6°C, with many guests being caught unprepared as their summer, adventure trekking plans have been put on hold due to the icy conditions.
General manager of the Victorian resort Terry Dwyer said, “We’re five days into summer and usually at this time we’re seeing above 30° temperatures, so this chilly change has come as a bit of a surprise! “It has been a bit of a novelty for us all, and our guests are enjoying the change in scenery and having a bit of fun with it. Who would have thought we’d be making snowmen in December!”
