Accor Announces Manager Development Program

In just two years one the hospitality industry’s star performers could be well on their way to becoming the next head honcho at one of Accor’s leading hotels across Australia.

Climbing the career ladder has just become one step easier thanks to the commitment by Accor to fast track individuals who have a strong desire and potential to progress within hospitality.

Accor has announced the launch of its 2013 Accor Executive Leadership Program to identify and build the hospitality leaders of tomorrow, with applications for the program now open. The two year accelerated development program enables promising individuals to shoot for the stars and take on a senior management role as a stepping stone to their first general manager position.

The program also enables participants to explore a specialist area of interest and further enhance their skills and leadership down this path. Successful applicants will undergo two twelve month placements based on their individual skills, experience and personal preferences in line with business requirements, as well as six professional development workshops.

That’s why we are dedicated to nurturing up-and-coming senior leaders and providing them with the support and tools they need to succeed through our executive leadership program.

“Our development program is open to the entire hospitality industry, not just for those who already work for Accor, and best of all, participants in the program will have one-on-one mentoring and support from our Regional General Managers to absorb best practices and be inspired from the industry’s best.”

Individuals interested in the development program should have a hospitality/tourism degree and/or two years experience within an industry leadership role. They must also possess a high learning aptitude, strong adaptability and the ability to lead and inspire others.

Applications for the 2013 Accor Executive Leadership Program are open from 23 January – 25 February 2013. A maximum of 15 candidates will be accepted into the 2013 Accor Executive Leadership Program.

Participants will experience at least three hotels and business units within the two year period with placements at any one of Accor’s 200+ hotels across Australia.
