Caloundra Resort Upgrade Completed

Oaks Oasis in the seaside hub of Caloundra has announced the completion of substantial refurbishments to the property’s common areas, accommodation wings and leisure facilities.

Costing an estimated $2.8 million, Oaks Oasis’ popular coastal appeal has been refreshed with a contemporary look and modern appointments in time to welcome the wave of summer holidaymakers.

Kerri Hamilton, general manager of Oaks Oasis, said the four star property’s revamp includes extensive restorations to the reception area, Reflections Restaurant and Legends Bar, all of which have undergone repaints and retiling with the addition of new furnishings and technological conveniences – in particular an indoor audio entertainment system and LCD TVs.

Exteriors have welcomed a fresh coat of paint, new electronic VingCard room keys have been installed in all rooms and the foyer areas have also received enhancements.

Catering up to 250 guests, the extensive conference facilities were also a priority during the multi-million dollar transformation, with the Oasis, Board, State and Verandah Rooms all receiving notable upgrades to the walls and carpet and now feature fixed data projectors, motorised screens, in-house audio systems and ambient lighting. The St George Room – a popular choice for conferences and weddings alike – has also undergone soft refurbishments, in addition to housing a LCD TV with HDMI/VGA capabilities and a new air-conditioning system. Both roving and lapel microphones are now available as well as video matrix facilities to enable vision splitting across screens; ideal for business travellers.
