Sheraton Noosa for Upgrade

Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa, situated in the heart of Noosa on sought-after Hastings St, has announced a $10 million dollar refurbishment of the resort to start in March and scheduled for completion in August 2013.

Demonstrating their ongoing commitment and to ensure Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa continues to be an industry leader, the resort’s owners are investing in a significant refurbishment of the property and have appointed global design company Woods Bagot to deliver a unique design in response to the needs, preferences and expectations of today’s guest.

The refurbishment of this iconic resort will incorporate guestrooms, suites and villas. The modern style of the new-look guestrooms will subtly blend local references into the design, bringing a new level of contemporary luxury to Hastings St. Inspired by nature and designed for comfort, the light open spaces will draw on the textures and colours of Noosa’s location taking inspiration from the surrounding natural environment and rich cultural heritage.

Also included in the refurbishment plan will be the porte-cochère, providing an enriched sense of arrival, guest corridors to seamlessly link public areas and guests rooms and the repainting of the resort’s exterior. Cato’s Restaurant & Bar will be re-designed to enhance its coveted street frontage and the Resort’s conference space will be given a refreshing uplift in design, reinforcing the Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa’s appeal as Noosa’s smartest conference venue.

In addition to the recent upgrades to all guest rooms with LCD flat screen TVs and signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds, the resort has also introduced wireless internet throughout its grounds to ensure guests may always remain connected.

Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa has enjoyed ‘iconic’ status for nearly 23 years and was the first five-star, upscale hotel to welcome guests to Noosa.

“We are thrilled to announce the refurbishment of this iconic Noosa landmark and reaffirm our links with the local community. Since 1989 Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa has provided the highest standards of hospitality in the region and our new rooms will continue in that pursuit. They will be sophisticated and timeless, designed to exceed our customers’ expectations and provide the kind of sanctuary one comes to expect from a Sheraton Hotel. This marks a whole new era for the Resort and for Noosa and we look forward to sharing our exciting new look with our guests very soon,” said general manager, Stephen Ferrigno.

Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa will remain open for the duration of the refurbishment and all design transformation works will be carried out with the greatest care to ensure that guests are not disrupted.
