Tassie golf resort gets green light
The final hurdle to develop the Claremont Golf Club’s $85 million vision into a sporting, tourism and residential complex has been overcome with planning approval to rezone a parcel of land essential for the development.
The Tasmanian Planning Commission approval has allowed the club to seek developers for its Claremont Peninsula Sports Complex project, that includes a 90-room hotel complex, restaurant and 77 strata-titled units.
The existing 18-hole golf course and bowling greens would become integral to the project.
