Gold Coast Sphere project for sale
The management rights and land of the $170 million Sphere project at Southport has been placed on the market.
The land, approved for 160 units, was launched in 2007 by businessman Mark Howard of Howard Thompson Constructions and is close to Griffith University within the Griffith Knowledge Precinct and its planned technology hub.
It was placed in the hands of receivers in April 2012 after Howard Thompson Constructions was placed in liquidation.
Grant Bailey of Ray White Hotels is handling the sale of the management rights while Darrell Irwin and Geoff Lamb of Colliers International are marketing the 1.76 ha of undeveloped land in an expressions of interest campaign on behalf of receivers BDO.
The expressions of interest campaign will close at the end of April.
