Incomplete resort on the market at 1770
The unfinished development Lagoons@1770 is being offered for sale, with expressions of interest closing on 18 April.
Originally the $50 million, 120 luxury unit development was to be the jewel of the planned Discovery Coast around the twin towns of Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy. The developer folded during the global financial crisis and has languished for five years.
The resort – estimated at 50-70% complete – is being marketed by Colliers’ Andrew Scriven who said, “It is no secret the area did not perform well in the aftermath of the GF, but when Lagoons@1770 is sold and completed it will be a great boost for the area.”
