Five accommodation events in one

Five leading accommodation industry events have linked up to form Hotels Megameet 2013, a series of co-located events for CEO’s, senior industry executives and others interested in the accommodation industry in Australia and New Zealand.

Held in Sydney over three days between 23 and 25 July 2013, the partnering events at Hotels Megameet 2013 will bring over 80 global, regional and local industry leaders and experts to provide an expected 1,000 attendees with deep insight into the state of the accommodation industry and where it is heading, whilst also providing an unprecedented networking opportunity.

Hotels Megameet 2013 comprises

> HotelsWorld Australia New Zealand – a new event for CEO’s and other senor executives that has already secured the highest level of industry support ever achieved for an accommodation conference in this region with 50 sponsors, exhibitors and supporters on board, representing most of the region’s leading accommodation chains, industry bodies and key suppliers;

> Hotel Franchise World – a first ever event for the region designed to explore the future of franchising, a global phenomenon that has become one of the most important sources of growth for the global accommodation industry;

> Ted’s Conference – a leading technology event created by industry IT guru, Ted Horner;

> Tourism Accommodation Australia (NSW) Awards for Excellence 2013 – the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry, honoring the achievement of excellence in accommodation, dining, entertainment, marketing, training, community service and talented employees; and

> Future Leaders Forum – A new event for up and coming, under 35 year old future industry leaders, providing insight during lunchtime presentations and networking to help enhance future career prospects

Operating under a shared theme of What’s New, What’s Next? Hotels Megameet 2013 participating events will be focussed on the future and showcasing ideas, issues and people involved in leading the industry into the future, as the global economy improves and confidence returns to the tourism markets.

The creator of Hotels Megameet 2013, Horwath HTL Australia CEO, John Smith said that it was a concept for the time, providing industry executives with an efficient and practical means of knowledge sharing and networking. “The concept enables delegates to pick and choose those events most relevant to their interests, whilst having the advantage of being able to meet up with peers and colleagues in the same city, during the same week,” he said. He added: “Our event goals are insight, ideas: and networking and the five events comprising Hotels Megameet 2013 will individually and collectively deliver on those goals.”
