QT takes on Victorian ski resort
QT Hotels and Resorts is taking over the Mirvac-operated Quay West Falls Creek and the ski resort will be renamed QT Falls Creek.
Originally designed by Melbourne-based architect Callum Fraser but will undergo a QT redesign by Nic Graham.
It has 63 self-contained one- to four-bedroom apartments and opened in 2009.
QT operates properties in Sydney, Gold Coast and Port Douglas and QT Falls Creek will be its first ski resort. QT’s David Seargeant said, “The QT brand is part of a global trend of design-led lifestyle hotels that provide high energy innovative restaurants and bars in a boutique highly stylised design and we look forward to bringing this experience to Falls Creek in time for this winter season.”
