Beleaguered SA resort back on the market

The 89-room hotel, conference centre and 18-hole golf course at Fleurieu Peninsula’s beleaguered Wirrina Cove development are to auctioned this month.

In his latest report to investors of the Equititrust Income Fund – in which the Wirrina Cove properties are held – receiver David Whyte, of BDO, said a revised price tag of $3 million had been set for the three major properties, which are being offered as a package.

Offers for the remaining marina berths close on June 21 while the hotel, conference centre and golf course will be auctioned on the same day in Sydney.

Wirrina went into receivership in 1992 and has changed hands four times since.
