Boutique hotel adds to Northbridge Perth facelift

The State Government hopes a new six-storey hotel and restaurant to be built in Northbridge will help rejuvenate and transform the entertainment district.

The 74 room hotel will incorporate part of the heritage-listed former National Bank building on William Street.

The Planning Minister John Day has described it as another piece of the Northbridge puzzle.

“It will revive a neglected 60-year-old heritage-listed building and make use of a vacant area to add a boutique hotel and restaurant to this popular precinct,” he said.

“This area is now home to an eclectic mix of retailers, restaurants and bars and this development will offer something new for Perth in terms of guest accommodation.”
Construction is due to start this year and the hotel is expected to open late next year.
