Massive $1b apartments planned for Melbourne

Plans for a $1 billion-plus, 2300 apartment development proposal in Melbourne’s Fishermans Bend precinct have been announced. A consortium, Belsize Nominees and Cojas Holdings, led by Melbourne lawyer George Kefford and car dealership owners Gary Brill and John Eyre want to construct six apartment towers in the former industrial area and have requested the state government to approve their development.

An Ingles St site would have five towers with 1915 apartments, more than 14,000m² of office space and 4300m²of retail-arcade space while another site in Turner St will have another tower with 361 apartments.
