Palm Cove Resort Sold to Singapore Group

Singapore-based Hotel Grand Central Ltd has bought the Novotel Palm Cove Resort, according to CBRE Hotels director Wayne Bunz.

Grand Hotels International group general manager Frank Delli Cicchi said the sale was a conditional deal that involved due diligence. He said it was too early to discuss plans for the property that would continue to operate as normal under Accor that manages the 45ha property.

Originally the Palm Cove Travel Lodge that opened in 1991, it became a Novotel resort in 1993. It was renamed Novotel Rockford Palm Cove after it was acquired by the Rockford Group in 2006.

Hotel Grand Central owns hotels throughout SE Asia and operates 10 under the Grand Chancellor brand in Australia.
