Who said stylish interior design can only be found in upmarket hotels? The Ibis Styles Kalgoorlie has bid farewell to its patchwork bedspreads, dark colour scheme and dated furniture and embraced a vibrant, colourful new design following a $3.5million refurbishment of the hotel.
Under the creative direction of Elise + Betty Design, Ibis Styles Kalgoorlie has completely transformed the look and feel of its interiors with bright, energetic and relaxed decor to reflect the hotel’s location in the heart of the Western Australia Goldfields.
The multimillion dollar refurbishment program includes a makeover of 100 guest rooms, public areas including lobby and reception, corridors and hotel entrance. In addition to the upgrade of the hotel’s restaurant and bar a new function room has been added to the hotel portfolio which was completed in early 2013.
Drawing on the textures and warmth of the outback countryside, burnt orange feature walls, earthy green and grey tree motifs, crisp white joinery, laid back chaise as well as new bedding and bathrooms are stand out enhancements of the upgraded guestrooms.
For a heightened hotel experience, Superior Rooms on Level 4 feature new King size beds, LCD swivel TVs, mini-bars and comfortable balcony furniture.
General manager of the Ibis Styles Kalgoorlie, Artur Pachecki, said the new rooms have already received positive guest feedback. “A feeling of spaciousness, more light, fun colour palate, full length mirrors, additional power points and room safes are among the comments highlighted from our guests enjoying the new rooms.
“Ibis Styles Kalgoorlie has long been a home-away-from-home for workers in the mining industry in addition to international and domestic travellers visiting the region. The upgrade places the hotel in a market-leading position within the economy sector thanks to its new level of comfort, design and personality at all-inclusive price.
“The great bonus for guests staying at Ibis Styles Kalgoorlie is that there are no surprises on check-out. Continental breakfast and a great night’s sleep are all included in the room rate, so those little extras won’t cost more.”
