Parkes gets new motel
The new $4 million Aastro Dish Motor Inn will officially open this week in Parkes.
Developer John Pizarro – 15 times Australian go kart hampion – built the 4½-star motel on the Newell Highway that offers 19 units including four two bedroom; two for disabled patrons; two honeymoon suites; with the rest executive style. Each has a 50 inch flat screen TV, free wifi and modern décor.
The motel’s Galaxy Restaurant has seating for 40 people, with an adjoining function centre capable of another 100 people. Interior décor was by local designer, Elsie Mahon
A swimming pool will be installed in the next few weeks.
Allowance has also been made for another stage of the motor inn that will include 20 more units as well as a gym and storage.
