Pan Pacific Perth Names new GM

Kim Powley has been appointed general manager at Pan Pacific Perth.

The appointment brings Kim full circle, marking the return to his home city and back to Pan Pacific Perth where he started his career more than 30 years ago. Kim has since garnered over 20 years of valuable hotel management experience across Asia Pacific. He joins Pan Pacific Hotels Group from Sentosa Resorts Bali where, as area general manager, he oversaw the management and development of luxury resorts and residences in Bali and Jakarta. Prior to this, Kim spent seven years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts as General Manager of Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers and The Westin Kuala Lumpur. He has also managed Hyatt and Sheraton properties in Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Chris Lane has been appointed director of sales for Victoria for Pan Pacific Hotels Group. Based at Parkroyal Melbourne Airport, Chris will manage business-to-business sales and develop new business as well as maintaining and growing current accounts. His role also includes support sales to Victorian customers on other properties in the group.

Prior to his appointment, he spent four years with the Melbourne Convention Bureau as senior national account manager and before that was Victorian sales manager for Constellation Hotel Group.

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has also announced that it has appointed Graham Burst as executive chef of Pan Pacific Perth. He will oversee the hotel’s restaurants, Montereys and Origins, Lobby Lounge and Pacific Club Lounge. Graham will also manage the catering for the hotel’s event and meetings facilities.

With 28 years of experience at leading hotels in the United Kingdom and Hong Graham was recently the executive chef at the InterContinental Hong Kong.
