Hayman is Back
The rebuilt One&Only Hayman Island began welcoming guests on July 1.
Since its closure at the beginning of the year, the resort has been re-imagined, introducing new accommodation, re-designed spaces and the unrivalled One&Only brand experience. The design, interiors and landscape architecture are the result of collaboration between Kerzner International Development and DBI Design.
CEO of Kerzner International Alan Leibman said One&Only Hayman Island was the company’s first resort in the Asia Pacific region. “With our partners, Mulpha, we have completely re-defined luxury in the Great Barrier Reef and transformed the guest experience with the hallmarks of excellence found in One&Only resorts around the world, whilst capturing the breath-taking beauty of one of the natural wonders of the world.”
The One&Only Hayman Wing will offer everything from chic, relaxed guest rooms through to grand one, two and three-bedroom penthouse residences, including one created by the legendary fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg.
There is also a spectacular collection of Kerry Hill-designed beach villas and the freestanding private beach house. The iconic One&Only Hayman pool has been given a renewed energy with private cabanas and daybeds. The resort is also introducing the brand new Aquazure Pool, including cabanas and an infinity edge pool with a zero entry for children.
The island’s restaurants and bars have undergone a stylish transformation and finally, a new fitness centre has been created, aligned with the philosophies of health and wellness professional, James Duigan.
