Sunshine Safari to win over the business events market

Business Events Sunshine Coast hosted a Sunshine Safari from 20-23 June for ten top professional conference organisers and corporate event managers.

The group has spent four days familiarising themselves with the Sunshine Coast region on a tour specifically developed to showcase the Sunshine Coast’s business events capabilities.  The famil participants are from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand and represent organisations such as Ergon Energy, Siemens, Sane Event Group, Zoom Events, and Corporate Incentive Solutions.

Business events manager, Lauran Hofman said the visit was part of BESC’s familiarisation (famil) program which aims to educate the clients on the range of opportunities that exist for incentive and conference programs on the Sunshine Coast.

“The conference organisers and corporates attending the Sunshine Safari have a strong influence on where an event will be held for their companies and have the capacity to bring a lot of business to our region. Our local operators including Novotel Twin Waters Resort are providing tremendous support to help us host this program and showcase our best assets,” added Lauran.

The group stayed at Novotel Twin Waters Resort, Oaks Oasis Resort and Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort and Spa and also inspected Spicers Clovelly Estate, Spicers Tamarind Retreat, Noosa Springs Resort, Sheraton Noosa and RACV Noosa. During their time on the Sunshine Coast, the group experienced a visit to Maleny Botanic Gardens, The Events Centre, Australia Zoo, Flame Hill Vineyard, Noosa National Park and enjoyed stand up paddle boarding on the Noosa River, a cooking demonstration at Wasabi Restaurant and a dinner at Spirit House Restaurant.
