Next Brisbane seeks the next generation of hospitality professionals

SilverNeedle Hospitality’s first Next Hotel in the world is recruiting hospitality superstars to be part of its founding team as it gets ready to open in Brisbane this September.

Delivering the next generation of service designed around guests’ personal business lifestyles hinges on the professionals representing Next Hotels.

The team will have the opportunity to work across all areas of the hotel, empowering the team to take on flexible roles and grow their skills to ensure a strong and versatile workforce that will service the demands of the modern business traveller.

Featuring a world-first combination of cutting edge Smarter Technology – from the point of reservation, to check in right and through to departure – the Next Hotel team will be trained in intuitive and tailored service to suit each individual guest’s needs.

By joining the first Next team, ambitious and multi-skilled employees will also be offered international opportunities within the Next Hotel network – for which expansion plans are already in motion.  The second Next Hotel is being developed in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and SilverNeedle Hospitality is in various stages of discussions to bring the brand to other countries in the Asia Pacific.

Next Hotel Brisbane employees will enjoy the SilverNeedle Learning and Development Program that rewards those who are performance oriented and recognises that employee development is essential for the fulfilment of employee and business objectives, today and in the future.

“We are looking for dedicated individuals with a real flair for service and a strong desire to succeed. At Next Hotel Brisbane employees will be empowered to expand their skill set and build on their knowledge with one of the most technologically advanced hospitality systems in the world,” said Gen McKenzie, senior vice president, human capital, of SilverNeedle Hospitality.

“Like its city location, Next Hotel Brisbane is an exciting and dynamic place to work. We are committed to excellence of service and supporting our employees to grow in their careers, providing training and access to the technology that will ensure they always remain two steps ahead. Committed to innovation, Next Hotel Brisbane is very different to all other offerings in the business travel space – even our designer uniforms make a statement!” she added.

Formerly Chifley at Lennons and conveniently located on Queen Street Mall in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, this redeveloped 304-room hotel is the city’s biggest to open this year and one of Australia’s largest hotel rebuilding projects in recent years.
