Palmerston gets $50m hotel
A $50 million hotel in Palmerston’s CBD has been given development approval as stage one of the Maluka Views development project.
The 161 room hotel, including 32 suites and 41 short stay apartments, will be behind The Hub on Roystonea Ave, and is being created by local investors John Robinson and Mick Burns.
Peter Chandler, Northern Territory’s minister for lands, planning and the environment, said, “Hotel accommodation is under immense pressure, especially in the Dry, this development will bring online much needed rooms for the developing City of Palmerston.”
Stage two of Maluka Views will be residentially-focused, with a mix of commercial, retail and alfresco dining to be offered.
