Two towers for revised Melbourne Aloft

Developer Hiap Hoe Ltd is seeking approval for twin towers in Melbourne’s West End. The buildings, designed by Elenberg Fraser, will be 217m (67 levels) and 166m (51 storeys) and have 728 apartments plus 312 four-star hotel suites.

Melbourne-based Probuild has been named as builder of the towers on a 3165m² site at 380 Lonsdale St purchased by Hiap Hoe in 2013.

Elenberg Fraser has increased height of the revised proposal, raised the apartment yield and included a hotel over two towers rather than one.

The design includes retail, function, office space and car parking through the 7-level podium.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has signed on to operate the southern Lonsdale tower hotel component under its Aloft brand.
