More towers for Brisbane

Urban Construct has lodged plans for two 25-storey towers and a three-level lowrise A former South Australian developer plans to spend $400 million on two 25-storey residential towers in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

Urban Construct submitted its development application to Brisbane City Council late last week for 592 units along with a retail component.

Urban Construct chairman Bevan Lynch said in a statement, “Demand for office, retail, residential and hotel space in the city centre is expected to equate to around 50 new towers by 2034. Commercial precincts such as Fortitude Valley will be vital in accommodating this growth due to their proximity to the CBD, strengthening connections to business and lifestyle precincts.”
