Rydges Sydney World Square executive room upgrade provides ‘room to move’

A complete accommodation room upgrade at the Rydges Sydney World Square has created a new template for rooms in the flat-screen era – ‘room to move’.

With wall mounted flat-screen TVs allowing the hotel design to do away with bulky cabinets, Rydges World Square has installed glass-topped desks to create an open design that provides a greater feeling of space.

The completion of the Executive Rooms and Suites refurbishment is part of a $6 million upgrade of the entire hotel by owners, Schwartz Family Company, due for completion by the end of 2015.

The Executive Room and Suite upgrade follows earlier refurbishments of the hotel lobby, conference rooms and the launch of the popular Cidery Bar & Kitchen.

Over half of the hotel’s 454 rooms have been fully refurbished, with new furnishings, new carpets, upgraded bathrooms, new artwork, 50″ LED TV screens, and a new earthy colour scheme, along with free wi-fi throughout the hotel, introduced to make the Rydges Sydney World Square one of Sydney’s most stylish – and good-value – CBD 4.5 star hotels
