TRYP Brisbane recognised at regional architecture awards

Brisbane street art hotel TRYP Fortitude Valley Hotel has been recognised for its unique interior architecture at the prestigious 2015 Brisbane Regional Architecture Awards held at the Queensland University of Technology last week.

The architect behind the interior design and theming for the boutique hotel, Shane Denman from Shane Denman Architects, received the commendation for interior architecture at the awards on May 8.

The hotel will now progress to the Queensland State Architecture Awards to be announced on June 26.

Shane Denman“This was such a rewarding project to work on and I’m thrilled with the recognition,” Mr Denman said.

“It was a collaborative effort with some of Australia’s most talented individuals including project architects M+M, so the commendation is an acknowledgement of their hard work and creativity too,” he added.

Presented by the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA), the Brisbane Regional Architecture Awards are held annually and recognise exceptional buildings in Queensland across a range of categories.

Barry Robinson, President and Managing Director Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific and Wyndham Hotel Group in South East Asia and Pacific Rim, said TRYP Fortitude Valley Hotel offers guests an immersive and authentic Brisbane experience.

“In introducing the TRYP brand to the region our vison was to offer a completely unique experience for hotel guests paired with a truly outstanding and genuine service, allowing guests to ‘Own the City,'” he said.
