Quest celebrates official opening of new NSW properties in Nowra and Albury

Tim Fischer joined Mayor of Albury Kevin Mack to officially open the newest addition to the Quest Serviced Apartments network – Quest Albury on Townsend – in the historic former Farmers and Graziers Woolstore building last week.

Quest Chief Operating Officer Scott McAlister, Quest Albury on Townsend Franchisees – Noel and Madeleine Wood, Jason and Natasha Callewaert, and General Manager for the property, Kev Poulton – joined Mr Fischer and Cr Mack to celebrate the grand opening, with a cocktail party held at the property.

The celebration at Quest Albury on Townsend follows the official opening of Quest Nowra last week on Thursday 18 June when Mayor of Shoalhaven City Council, Cr Joanna Gash opened the brand new property, joined by Mr McAlister, Quest General Manager – Brand Tony Gauci, and Quest Nowra Franchisee James Blanchett.

Mr McAlister highlighted the significance of the openings, which expand the company’s presence in New South Wales while proving the strength of the Quest network; Quest Nowra Franchisee James Blanchett enters the role after several years with Quest Corporate Head Office, while Quest Albury on Townsend brings together an existing franchisee partnership – Noel, Madeleine, Jason and Natasha – from Quest Wodonga.

“It is in regional centres like Albury and Nowra that Quest’s value proposition really shines. Local commercial and industrial businesses are thriving in both locations and with this growth, comes a greater demand for Quest’s style of extended-stay corporate accommodation,” said Mr McAlister.

“Our two existing NSW/VIC border properties – Quest Wodonga and Quest Albury – already do exceedingly well and the new Quest Albury on Townsend will enhance this offering to ensure we can meet the needs of our guests, every time they are in the area. Quest Nowra is suffering a drastic shortage of accommodation supply – a demand the new property is perfectly placed to meet.”

”I extend my warmest congratulations and a huge thanks to James, Noel, Madeleine, Jason and Natasha for all the hard work they have put in to getting both properties up and running. Their dedication to the Quest brand and their guests has ensured the Quest standard of high-quality “home away from home” accommodation is delivered,” he concluded.

He is already Franchisee of Quest Albury with his wife Madeleine, in addition to Quest Wodonga in partnership with Jason and Natasha. Mr Wood echoed Mr McAlister’s sentiments, and thanked the Quest Albury on Townsend team for their dedication to ensuring the success of the new property.

“It has been fantastic working with Madeleine, Jason, Natasha and Kev in the lead up to opening Quest Albury on Townsend. We’ve received a fantastic response from guests over the past month and I am looking forward to strengthening our relationships and ensuring all guests receive the very best experience,” Mr Wood said.

“I thank Cr Mack for being here tonight and the Albury City Council for their support in getting our doors open. Thank you also to Mr Fischer for being here to officially open the property – it is a fantastic start and I’m sure we will host many more great functions.”

During the celebrations at Quest Nowra, Quest Nowra Franchisee James Blanchett expressed his excitement about his new venture and confidence in the new property to successfully meet the needs of a growing corporate sector.
“Having worked for Quest Head Office, I understand the comprehensive process undertaken when deciding on a new location. As soon as I heard a property was planned for Nowra, I knew it was a fantastic opportunity that I had to take up,” Mr Blanchett said.

“Nowra and the wider Shoalhaven region have a growing requirement for new accommodation and Quest Nowra perfectly meets this need. I am truly looking forward to becoming a valuable part of the local community and ensuring Nowra continues to grow from strength to strength.”
