Man found dead at Melbourne hotel
A man has been found dead inside Melbourne’s Crown Metropol, according to police.
The man had sustained neck wounds and was found some time after being involved in an argument on the eighth floor, reports have claimed.
It is thought that the alleged attack took place around 2.30am and police have since found two people they believe fled the hotel during lockdown. However, no arrests have been made.
Detective Sergeant Favre told The Age: “Staff at the venue have been co-operating and been excellent. We couldn’t ask for more as far as their assistance.”
Crown has not yet released a statement but accomnews will update you with any new developments.
The hotel’s security was not able to prevent the incident but guards have been monitoring all entrances and elevators, and police are currently going through CCTV footage.
