Quest opens 15th Queensland property in Toowoomba

Quest Toowoomba at 133 Margaret Street has restored the stunning Church of Christ building to its former charm, allowing Quest Serviced Apartments to open its 15th Queensland property this week.

Quest CEO Zed Sanjana seemed thrilled to open the first of three new properties in Queensland for 2015. He claimed to be confident in the growth of the local economy and the property’s future success.

“Toowoomba is booming as the economic hub of the Darling Downs, with the recently opened airport increasing accessibility, while the planned Second Range Crossing will greatly improve the efficiency of freight movement,” Mr Sanjana said.

“In the Southern Queensland Country Region – inclusive of the Toowoomba, South Burnett, Southern Downs and Western Downs regions – domestic visitor expenditure increased by 11.2% in 2013/2014 to $744.4m.”

Quest Toowoomba 205“Queensland is a key growth market for Quest; today’s opening in Toowoomba will be closely followed by the openings of Quest Kelvin Grove, and a second Chermside property, Quest Chermside on Playfield. I’m excited to see Quest expand its presence in the state, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our growing client base,” he concluded.

Quest Toowoomba Franchisee, Cynthia Rice has been with Quest since 2003, bringing with her more than a decade of experience and an in-depth knowledge of how the business operates. Prior to taking on this new business endeavor, Ms Rice was Property Manager at Quest Ipswich.

”I think one of Quest’s key points of difference and appeal to guests is how we embrace the local communities in which we operate, striving to get to know the community and uphold its values,” Ms Rice said.

“The former Church of Christ building is of significant cultural value to the local community, representing part of Toowoomba’s history, while having a wonderful aesthetic. We couldn’t be happier with this location and are very excited to open our doors today.”

“We have received significant support from the Toowoomba City Council in the lead up to today, which I am very grateful for. The support from the business community has also been astounding and I am looking forward to building relationships and ensuring we deliver the guest experience expected from Quest,” she concluded.

Located at 133 Margaret Street, the property features 74 apartments in total – a combination of studio apartments with kitchenettes, along with one, two and three bedroom apartments with kitchen and laundry facilities and a separate living/dining area.
