TripAdvisor, Facebook and 90 travel brands set to attend new exhibit

The Travel Industry Exhibition will open its doors to the Crystal Palace at Luna Park Sydney in two weeks as Australia’s only exhibition for the travel industry showcasing the latest products and services from both new and existing travel suppliers in the international and domestic markets.

According to a recent statement, the exhibition is in its second year and aims to bridge the gap between travel suppliers and buyers, “connecting industry stakeholders in one location and providing a key forum for education and networking”.

More than 90 travel brands will be at the exhibit and a much greater registered visitor base is expected to attend in comparison with last year.

Visitors can expect to see well-known figures from TripAdvisor, Facebook and DFAT along with a number of other leading experts including Simon Hillier, owner of Get There Writing Services who will lead the session ‘(Get Googled!) Smart SEO for travel businesses.’

Simon has said: “Over 80% of people find local businesses via the internet and most of them do it using search engines like Google”…”Good SEO can give you a big advantage over your competitors, but to do that you need to know the latest rules and tactics.”

“Travel is such a competitive industry. So it’s really important to be in front of potential customers at that moment they’re looking for services you can provide”…”I plan to break SEO down into easy to understand language. I want give travel agents some practical, achievable steps they can take away to improve their search ranking and attract more good business.”

The Travel Industry Exhibition takes place at Luna Park Sydney on Thursday 16 to Friday 17 July. All seminars are free to attend on a first-come-first served basis.

Networking drinks will provide a welcomed reprieve for exhibitors and visitors alike, on the first day on the show between 5pm and 6pm. Visitors are strongly encouraged to pre-register their attendance to the exhibition by visiting www.travelindustryexpo.com.au or calling 02 9556 7985.
