Perth resort opens doors to pets for extra fee

The Novotel Vines Resort, in the Swan Valley outside of Perth, has joined a growing list of Hotels and Resorts allowing the whole family to holiday or stay together, including pets of all varieties.

In specially designated apartments, pets are welcomed along with their human families on holidays, or for longer stays in the self-contained one and two bedroom apartment accommodation for just $20 additional per pet, per night.

The Novotel Vines resort has seen dogs, cats, and even a pet pig utilise the special accommodation since introducing the concept in late June. The apartments come complete with a fully fenced outside exercise and play area and a dedicated sleeping area. BYO bedding and food, with your favourite pet bowls, toys and of course leashes and waste bags.

“We have seen a large number of Insurance Companies placing clients in our pet friendly apartments, when their clients need to relocate from the family home for any reason, such as damage, fire or accident,” said Mike Stanton, General Manager at The Vines.

“Also more and more relocation companies are coming to us to help with families relocating from interstate or overseas, when they need temporary accommodation while they search for more permanent solutions,” he adds, “so far we have not encountered one problem from any pet, and we are delighted to be able to be a home away from home for whole families.”

The Mercure Canberra and MGallery Fairmont Resort in the Blue Mountains are other Accor pet friendly hotels across Australia.
