Pullman Bunker Bay Resort Margaret River Region appoints new chef Grant Murray
Five-star Pullman Bunker Bay Resort, specialising in true ‘destination’ dining in the Margaret River Region, is pleased to announce the appointment of new executive chef Grant Murray.
Chef Murray takes the helm at Pullman Bunker Bay Resort after two years as Executive Chef at Hayman Island’s One&Only Resort. He brings with him over 20 years’ experience in award-winning restaurants in Dubai with the Kerzner & Jumeirah groups, previous to his time in the Middle East Chef Murray spent seven years working in some of London’s top eateries and working with some of London’s highly acclaimed chefs.
Chef Murray will now oversee the Pullman Resort’s restaurant, Other Side of the Moon, as well as the resort’s bar and bistro, room service and conference catering.
“We are extremely excited to bring Chef Murray aboard,” explains Bronwyn Bulpitt, General Manager of the Pullman Bunker Bay Resort. “Grant’s extensive experience in exclusive high-end resorts will add a rich global flavour that will be enjoyed by our guests throughout the resort’s plethora of culinary experiences,” said Ms Bulpitt.
Of his appointment Chef Murray says, “I’m eager to embark on this next chapter in my culinary journey. Fresh, quality produce is definitely my priority and I’ve spent the last three weeks getting to know the Margaret River Region’s outstanding local producers.
“The plethora of amazing ingredients here is mind-blowing, and I can’t wait to bring them to life on the plate,” added Chef Murray.
Over the next few weeks, Murray will be focussed on re-launching a new menu at Other Side of the Moon Restaurant, just in time for spring. He has already added his unique spin to the resort’s new Tapastry by Pullman menu, available in the casual bistro and bar and designed in conjunction with Pullman Culinary Ambassador, Justin North.
