QLD and NT hospitality businesses receive awards

Some of the best restaurateurs, caterers and café operators in Queensland and the Northern Territory were announced at the Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering HOSTPLUS Awards for Excellence this week.

The industry night held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre recognised the operators who provide exceptional service, demonstrate culinary excellence, and deliver great ambience and value for money across 45 categories.

Approximately 540 people came from across both states to see the benchmark set from the award winners announced during the gala dinner.

The winners of the major award categories include:

Sake Restaurant & Bar – Restaurant of the Year;

Epicure – Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane – Caterer of the Year;

Phillip Johnson – Lifetime Achiever;

Hot Tamale, Darwin – Northern Territory Consumer Vote Award;

Salsa Bar & Grill, Port Douglas – Northern Queensland Consumer Vote Award; and

Hatsuhana Restaurant, Main Beach – South East Queensland Consumer Vote Award.
