Layne Beachley celebrates 10th year as Wyndham ambassador
Seven-time world champion surfer Layne Beachley has confirmed her commitment to Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific as the company’s brand ambassador for the 10th consecutive year in 2016.
In her ambassador role, Mrs Beachley has motivated Wyndham’s 2,000-plus South Pacific corporate, resort and sales staff to perform at their peak by hosting a series of inspiring personal branding workshops to assist them in improving their performance through personal accountability, goal setting and values alignment.
She has also taken part in Wyndham’s annual Corporate Surf Challenge to raise money for the FSHD Global Research Foundation; provided WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham vacation owners the once-in-a-lifetime experience of learning to surf with her at VIP Owner Events and launched the Australian chapter of Wyndham Worldwide’s Women on Their Way professional development initiative in the region.
“I am proud to be associated with a company like Wyndham that continues to grow and motivate its staff to be the best they can be,” Mrs Beachley said. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in the ambassador role, particularly when spending time with vacation owners, as I see first-hand how Wyndham makes people’s holiday dreams come true.”
Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific President and Managing Director Barry Robinson said he was delighted Layne had decided to maintain her relationship with the company.
“Layne is one of Australia’s best-known and most respected female athletes and her support of Wyndham over the past 10 years has been phenomenal,” Mr Robinson said.
